Sanitary Landfill of Municipal Solid Waste
Technology Introduction
Sanitary landfill technology is the use of the nature of the metabolic function, according to the sanitary landfill engineering technology standards, engineering theory and geotechnical standard, to disposal garbage for landfill and controlling effectively, then to find a safe and stable treatment of municipal solid waste disposal method.
The MSW is filled with one layer of waste and one layer of cover soil alternately, and compacted by compactors so that the MSW could be stable through long-time physical, chemical and biological reactions. Landfill gases (e.g. CH4, CO2, N2,H2S), created by waste decomposition, exhaust through gas tubes buried in advance, which are collected and utilized as fuel or to generate power. The bottom of the landfill is waterproof in case of polluting the undergrounds water. The leachate is collected by collecting pipes and treated together.
